So it is about 4:40 in the a.m. and I'm trying to get out of cruise control so I can make it to north Scottsdale to work on time (by 7). I teach cpr and other classes for the red cross. And to start the morning off I have to drive to a storage unit where we pick all of our gear up (manikins, books, t.v., etc...). It was about five by the time I Left the apartment and headed for the storage unit. well come to find out the storage unit gate is shut down until 6 am. so i sit in my car and wait while listening to my favorite radio show. Well Finally 6 rolls around and I gather my stuff up as quickly as possible so I can get stuck in the morning gridlock on the 101 N. O.K. so now its6:30 and I am trying to find this company (Centex Homes).... (there is one problem, I ran out of computer paper the night before and forgot to bring the post it note that I wrote the map quest directions on) So as stubborn as I am I will not call for directions unless I am desperate. Well after 20 minutes of driving around I called my coworker who was meeting me there and come to find out I am about 10 miles off target.
So I show up fashionably late and hurry up and bring three full bags of manikins up two flights of stairs. my coworker and I are putting together all the manikins when I check My watch and class was supposed to start. So I am wondering where the heck all these people are!!! I send my coworker to investigate and he finds out that the class had cancelled. haha so we take apart all the manikins and I lug it all back to my car.
When I got home I decided to hit the road on the new trek bike my bro gave me. Well I gear up and head outside to start my ride. The ride was good until the last mile or so. Well I thought I had mastered the "clip in take off" and found out quickly that I am a rookie. I Pull up to a Red light and unclip the right foot. well for what ever reason I start to tip to the left in which my left foot is still clipped in. I totally lose my balance and proceed to get into a wrestling match with trek! All the while The lady in a brown mini van is watching the battle unfold next to her... I felt really dumb...just dumb!! So after I TAKE OFF FINALLY there is about a mile back home and I start to sprint on the bike... when something does not feel right I look down and see a flat on the front tire! I am ROOKIE I don't know how to change a flat. so I decided to save the frustration and I picked trek up and carried her home. I will repair the flat before this weekend. But for now its just strictly spin classes at the gym.

HA HA HA LOL ... what a beautiful morning you had
make sure you take some classes on how to change a tire and what to check for (throns, nails, etc) and I would buy large quantities of spare tubes for the tires !!!
Hang in there ...

Nice blog Jason, but you have to update it every once in a while! Glad you got to have a fun time in Germany and it turned out better than the last time we went together! Good luck with fire academy!
Welcome to the blogging community. you both are so busy, it will be nice to check in and see how you are doing and what you're up to. Yeah....I don't know if you'll ever find me riding a bike. I've heard the clip horror stories and I'm not sure I'd ever get the hang of it.
why aren't you blogging????
